The actual factory was founded inside 1916 as Avtomobilnoe Moskovskoe Obshchestvo (AMO, Russian Автомобильное Московское Общество (АМО)-Moscow Car Society). The Zil-111 was a limousine created by the Soviet car producer ZiL in 1958-1967. It was the very first post-war limousine designed in the Soviet Union.
