The actual factory was founded in 1916 as Avtomobilnoe Moskovskoe Obshchestvo (AMO, Russian Автомобильное Московское Общество (АМО)-Moscow Car Society). The actual Zil-111 was a limousine manufactured by the Soviet car maker ZiL in 1958-1967. It was the primary post-war limousine designed within the Soviet Union.
