This factory was founded inside 1916 as Avtomobilnoe Moskovskoe Obshchestvo (AMO, Russian Автомобильное Московское Общество (АМО)-Moscow Automotive Society). The particular Zil-111 was a limousine produced by the Soviet car supplier ZiL in 1958-1967. It was the initial post-war limousine designed within the Soviet Union.
